New grilled pizza flavor: Korean-inspired Margherita


This is not a date night pizza. At least not a first date. This pizza is for people who already love each other enough to have mutual bad breath. Whole grilled garlic cloves serve as a condiment for this simple pie. The kids weren’t sure about this one, but the grown-ups loved it!

Follow the directions for making grilled pizza. Cut the top off a head of garlic, brush with olive oil, then set on the grill alongside the crust. Mix Sriracha into the pizza sauce to taste. When the time comes, spread the sauce on the crust, top with whole milk mozzarella, and close the grill until the cheese is melted and the crust is browned on the bottom.

After the pizza comes off the grill, top with chopped basil and cilantro (in the picture, we used small leaf basil – no chopping required!).

Place the grilled garlic on the table so that diners can squeeze as many cloves as they’d like onto their slices. Then, sleep peacefully, knowing that vampires will not venture anywhere within a 10-mile radius.
