Ugh. It’s April. This month is always a black hole – spring break, the arrival of warmer weather, the renewal of the drudgery of yard work, and preparing for Little Hippie’s birthday at the end of the month all combine to bring bloggery to a grinding halt. Some people would plan ahead and stack up a few posts in anticipation of the slump, but that’s not really my style.
So, I apologize for not doing a substantive post AGAIN this week. As a poor substitute, I offer this partial listing of what we’ve been up to and where we’re heading.
- Restarting the worm compost box.
LH is so incredibly excited about this project. She loves worms (or, as they are known in our house, “Woo-arms”).
- A new season of Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution starts tonight! 7 p.m. CST, ABC. It’s tough to advocate watching television in this season, but you can record it for a rainy day.
- A new super-cheap birthday party theme: The Birthday Parade Party. Coming soon to a hippie household near you. The results of the adventure will be posted to a hippie blog shortly thereafter. In the meantime, check out last year’s super-cheap party theme.
