The idea of s’mores is so lovely, yet we ruin it with awful ingredients. Grainy, super-sweet chocolate + stale marshmallows + brittle graham crackers laced with high fructose corn syrup and trans fat = why bother? Let’s try s’mores made with real food. Spend a little extra on the ingredients, and I guarantee you will be pleased with the switch.

Lindt Chili Chocolate
Trader Joe’s Honey Graham Crackers
Homemade Marshmallows (we are attempting our own. In the meantime, Trader Joe’s will make them every once in awhile, as will any chocolatier worth their salt. Graham’s in Geneva, IL, makes wonderful marshmallows.)
The chili adds a terrific kick to this classic. For people who will not look kindly on this twist, we found that Cadbury Dairy Milk made for a crowd-pleasing (though very chocolatey) s’more.
