Finger-knit Truffula Tree Bookmarks: Nifty Gifties!

IMG_0667_v1

A nifty gifty for little fingers to create.

Little Hippie loves these. She has made at least 50 of them over the past couple of weeks (sorry friends and family – I should’ve put a spoiler alert on this post. Please act surprised when you open yours). We followed the tutorial almost completely – I used a toilet paper tube to wrap around (lengthwise) for the tree tops instead of using fingers to measure the distance. This gave us longer branches on the trees, as well as a slightly more uniform product. Otherwise, we just let the schooltube video teach us how to finger-knit and started cranking out these cute bookmarks. Once kids learn how to do it, these take less than 10 minutes per bookmark.
